- Q. See question above.
Dear Rabbi, As mentioned on this vacation time days, it is sometimes difficult for us to get a minyan. What parts of davening are permitted, when adding a youngster to the minyan? Can one say then the full repetition of Shemone Esreh?
A. Indeed, most opinions seem to agree that even the amida recited quietly by all, followed by the repetition of the amida loudly by the Shaliach Tzibur, could be recited when counting that minor.
However, it stands to reason, that when praying Mincha, in a shul that often recites a short version when late and close to the end time permitted for Mincha, and only say aloud the first two brachos of the amida with the kedusha and the the present people together with the Shaliach Tzibur pray the rest quietly.
This type of short tefila should be said, when the minor is part of the minyan. (See Piskei Teshuvos 55: 9). (see next question).
