Q. Doritos, a kind a snack food popular in our communities with an Eida Chareidis Hechsher, put out a Hebrew-language advertisement in honour of "Family Day", which is LGBT-supportive (I attached a recording of it).
Should we encourage a boycott of its products, and if yes, to where should this protest be directed?
A. I have forwarded your question to the COR, as they are also dealing with similar concerns in regard to other community organizations that sponsor similar views.

A friend, with whom I discussed this issue, was concerned that perhaps such a protest should be avoided. The Eida Chareidis has assured me that their Hechsher does not appear on packages with this advertisement (I was not even aware that they were advertising it on the package). If we were to tell people, including children, that we were no longer eating anything made by Doritos, it may result in children asking questions about matters best left out of their "education". Why should we create a buzz of this nature in children's circles?
