April 20, 2017 Cape Gourmet Signature Seafood Brand Frozen Fish Fillets Please note that CAPE GOURMET SIGNATURE SEAFOOD brand frozen NORWEGIAN ATLANTIC SALMON and NORWEGIAN COD PORTIONS, packed for United Seafood Enterprises, sold in ShopRite stores, bears an unauthorized STAR-K on the back of the package. Corrective action is being taken.
8 Nissan 5777 / April 4, 2017 KASHRUS ALERT It has come to the OK’s attention that Prigat Strawberry Banana Drink (Can) UPC: 7 290001 594452 with a Best Before Date of Feb/06/18 Has been stamped erroneously as Kosher for Passover. The OK does not certify this above mentioned product as Kosher for Passover and this product shall not be consumed on Passover. This product is kosher for year round non-Passover use. This notice applies strictly to above mentioned product. All other Prigat products that bear the Passover symbol are kosher for Passover without any concern. The OK strongly advises to inspect all products prior to consumption to ensure that they bear the Passover designated classification.
April 6, 2017 OU Kosher Advisory OU P Xylitol Brand: Product: Company: Issue: Products requiring Passover certification must bear the OU-P or ‘OU Kosher For Passover’ designation. Some products, like Health Garden Xylitol, come in both OU and OU P varieties. Consumers should carefully look for the OU P designation to ascertain that the product is kosher for Passover.
Please note that MARQUIS brand canned CHUNK LIGHT TUNA, imported from China by Royal Food Import Corp., Boston, MA, states "STAR-K" on the back of the can. This statement is unauthorized as this product is not Kosher certified. Corrective action is being taken.

LA FE brand SEASONED SPANISH STYLE YELLOW RICE, which was distributed on March 15, 2-17 at Mrs. Schwab’s Garage Kosher Food Pantry in Detroit, bears an unauthorized OU and contains non-Kosher chicken fat. Please alert anyone who may have received this product.

Anápolis, Brazil Brand Frutaê Product Name Grape Pulp Issue Unauthorized Use of OK Symbol This company was certified by OK Kosher for many fruit pulp products. Doce Vida Frutaê Grape Pulp was never certified – this product bears an unauthorized OK Kosher symbol on the packaging. As of March 1st, 2017, Doce Vida Industria e Comercio de Produtos Alimenticios Naturais, S.A. is no longer certified by OK Kosher. Any products sold after this date are not under OK Kosher Certification. Action Corrective actions have been taken.

A symbol that is confusingly similar to the OU mark appears on some cartons of Ginger Beer bottles. Corrective actions are being implemented.

March 13, 2017 Piknik Ranch Dressing Brand Piknik Product Ranch Seasoning (portion pack) Company Supreme Oil Company, Englewood NJ Issue Missing D - Dairy Designation The Orthodox Union certified Piknik Ranch Dressing as an OU D - Dairy product. This product contains dairy, as indicated in the ingredients and allergens statements. Some Ranch Dressing was packaged in small portion-packs with a plain OU, without the D - Dairy designation. Corrective actions have been implemented.

Fair Lawn, NJ Issue MISTAKENLY LABELED AS OK KOSHER A limited amount of Nature’s Garden Kid’s Rainbow Trail Mix is still being sold in Maine, bearing the OK Kosher symbol. As per our previous alert, this product is not kosher. Action Corrective actions were taken.
3 Adar 5777 – March 1, 2017 Brand Cacao Barry Product Name CHM-O38LSUP-US-U77 (Milk Chocolate Callets 5kg) Company Barry Callebaut Issue Mistaken Use of OK Pareve Symbol A limited number of packages sold in the United States were mistakenly printed with the OK (Pareve) symbol instead of the correct OK-D symbol. This product is Dairy, as stated clearly on the label. Action Corrective action has been taken.
