Whirlpool Double Oven Alert WOD51, WOD77, WOD97, WODA7 For these models of wall ovens, we recommend not placing both ovens into Sabbath Mode. To ensure proper functioning, select the Sabbath Mode feature for only the ONE oven you will use on Yom Tov (or on Shabbos as permitted halachically). Until further notice, do not use the other oven on Yom Tov or Shabbos. The manufacturer is working on a fix. If you own any of these models, please email your model number, serial number and contact information to appliances@star-k.org so they can notify you when the fix is available.

Some of this butter was labeled with an unauthorized OU symbol. If you see this product in the marketplace, please provide the details to kosherq@ou.org. Corrective actions are being implemented. This product should not be confused with Fresh Made Amish Butter that is certified by the Orthodox Union.
Malt-O-Meal in Israel Brand Malt-O-Meal Company Royal Imports, Kfar Hanina, Israel Issue The Orthodox Union certifies some (but not all) Post Malt-O-Meal cereals. The products that are certified have an OU symbol printed directly on the box. Royal Imports, an importer in Kfar Hanina, Israel, is importing products and placing stickers with an OU symbol on those products, whether or not the products are certified. Consumers should not rely on any stickers placed on products imported into Israel unless the OU symbol is also part of the original product packaging.

Brand Fiber One Product Some Fiber One Bars Company General Mills Issue No longer certified. Due to reformulation some Fiber One Bars no longer bear the OU symbol. As always, consumers should check each product before purchasing and eating to verify the presence of a kosher symbol.

Brand Dole Company Dole Packaged Foods LLC, Westlake Village CA Issue The Orthodox Union certifies some Dole products when bearing the OU symbol. Due to a recent change of ingredients, several Dole products that were certified and had the OU symbol are no longer certified and no longer bear the OU symbol. Consumers should be cautious and look for the OU symbol to determine if a product is certified.
Abu-Lafia Pita Brand Abu-Lafia Pita Product Pita bread Company Abu-Lafia Pita, Montreal CA Issue Unauthorized OU The Orthodox Union does not certify Abu-Lafia Pita. Some Abu-Lafia bags bear an unauthorized OU symbol. Corrective actions are being implemented.
May 9, 2019 Joy Cone Alert Please be advised that with the introduction of dairy products on their pareve lines, some Joy Cone products are now certified STAR-D Dairy and will be labeled STAR-D. The STAR-D Dairy symbol appearing on the labels of: Sugar Cones, Waffle Cones, Waffle Bowls and Pretzel Cones, is an indication that they were produced on Dairy Non-Cholov Yisroel equipment. The formulas for these products have not changed. Joy brand Cake Cones and Gluten Free Cake Cones will remain STAR-K certified Pareve. Please check each product carefully to confirm its status.
OU KASHRUTH ALERT April 8, 2019 Kashrus Advisory Sonny & Joe’s Tahini Dip Brand Sonny & Joe’s Product Passover Tahini Dip Company Sonny & Joe’s, Brooklyn NY Issue Issue-Kitniyot The Orthodox Union certified a special Passover production of Sonny & Joe’s Tahini Dip which is a kitniot product. These containers are labeled with an OU sticker that states "approved for those who eat kitniot on Passover". Some of the Passover Tahini Dip containers were mistakenly labeled with a plain OU P Kosher for Passover sticker, without specifying that the product is kitniot. Corrective actions are being implemented.
OU KASHRUTH ADVISORY April 10, 2019 Bianco Azzuro Moscato Wine Brand Bianco Azzuro Product Moscato Wine Company Lishi Welner Wines, Israel Issue The Orthodox Union certifies Bianco Azzuro Moscato Wine. This product is labeled with a plain OU and it is not certified for Passover. Even the bottles that have the letters "OUP" as part of the production code are not certified for Passover.
OU KASHRUTH ADVISORY April 3, 2019 OU PASSOVER CERTIFICATION ADVISORY Issue Some Year-round OU-certified products may have Passover certification from an agency other than the OU. Please note that the OU does not stand behind the Passover certification from other agencies, and it may not meet the OU’s standards. OU Passover certification may have OU-P or Kosher for Passover ink-jetted on the Year-round version of the product. In addition, OUP or OU Kosher for Passover stickers are only authorized when they bear the company or the brand name of the product. Stores or distributors have been known to place Kosher for Passover stickers on products which were not manufactured with Passover standards.

Better Made Potato Chips Brand Better Made Product Regular Potato Chips in 10 oz. bags Company Better Made, Detroit MI Issue Dairy Product in Pareve Bag The Orthodox Union certifies Better Made Potato Chips (plain) as an OU Pareve product. Some Cheddar and Sour Cream Chips, which are certified as OU D - Dairy products were mistakenly packed in 10 ounce plain potato chip bags. The effected product have a use date of Aug. 10, 2019, a UPC code of 041633063048 and the following lot numbers: #62090431442 through #62090431520 and #85100431442 through #85100431520. This product is being recalled from the marketplace.
March 20, 2019 The Vaad HaKashruth of Greater Kansas City has issued an alert that effective immediately, all beer from Boulevard Brewery are to be considered dairy equipment even if the kashrus logo on the label doesn’t state DE.
