This product is certified OK Dairy. Action: Corrective actions are being taken.
Planters 24 Variety Pack Brand: Planters Product: 24 Variety Pack Company: Hormel Food Corp., Austin MN Issue: Planters 24 Variety Pack contains individually packed products that are certified by the Orthodox Union and also products that are not certified by the Orthodox Union. The products that are certified by the Orthodox Union bear an OU mark, and those that are not certified do not bear an OU mark. Consumers should look for the OU mark on the individual products to ascertain if the product is certified.
Lieber’s Choco Chiplets Brand: Lieber’s Product: Choco Chiplets Company: Lieber’s Issue: Product is certified as pareve, but mistakenly bears an OU-D symbol.
PuraVida Primavera Mistura Fire Roasted Vegetables Brand: PuraVida Product: Mistura Fire Roasted Vegetables Company: PuraVida, Toronto ON Issue: The Orthodox Union certifies PuraVida Primavera Mistura Fire Roasted Vegetables. The Orthodox Union is aware that recently, some insects were found in the broccoli that is part of this vegetable mix. The Orthodox Union is conducting a thorough review of this matter to determine the extent of this problem. If necessary, the Orthodox Union will implement additional procedures that will alleviate any possible concern pertaining to this product.
Artisanal Pretzels Produced by Eastern Standard Provisions include seasoning packets and is labeled as KOF-K Parve. The seasonings are NOT kosher and should not be used. This product was sold only at WHOLE FOODS. Corrective actions are being taken.
5 Iyar 5782 – May 6, 2022 Brand: Orlando Product: Grape Leaves Company: Yergat Packing Company Inc. Advisory: Please be advised that Orlando Grape Leaves (and grape leaves in general) should be rinsed one by one under a strong stream of water before use, as instructed on the label. No further checking is required once the leaves are properly rinsed. Some consumers have reported finding evidence of infestation in Orlando Grape Leaves. Our internal review of multiple lot numbers did not find an increase in infestation.
8 Iyar 5782 – May 9, 2022 Brand: Knudsen Product: 16oz Light Sour Cream Brand Owner: Lactalis Heritage Dairy Company on Label: Kraft Heinz Foods Company Issue: Mislabel Knudsen Light Sour Cream 16oz (made at plant #06-245) was mistakenly labeled with the OK D symbol. This product was never certified by OK Kosher Certification. Action: Corrective actions are being taken.
April 7, 2022 from the OK: 1800 Tequila, Casa Cuervo/Proximo Spirits has an unauthorized Use of OK Trademark. 1800 Tequila products bear an unauthorized OK P symbol on some bottles. This company and their products are not certified by OK Kosher Certification. Corrective actions are being taken.
April 21, 2019 from cRc: This is a reminder that Eli’s Cheesecakes products made during Pesach are not certified kosher and the cRc logo has been covered. Please note that there is one item, Single Serve Strawberry Swirl (lot # 22105), which was inadvertently packaged with the cRc logo and should not be used.
Eska Sparkling Lemon NOT Kosher The OU no longer certifies this product. It is NOT certified and not kosher for Passover even when bearing an OU-P. (The product is kitniyot and not chametz). The product is being sold at Costco in Canada.
12 Nissan 5782 – April 13, 2022 Brand: Mehoudar Product: Hearts of Palm Company: Gaton’s Foods Inc. Toronto, ON Canada Issue: Mislabel Multipacks of Mehoudar Hearts of Palm bear the OK symbol and the words ‘Kosher for Passover’ on the outer wrapper, but the inner cans are not certified kosher for Passover. Mehoudar Hearts of Palm are only certified for Passover when the can bears the OK P symbol and is ink-jetted with the lot code: OKP1182 Action Corrective actions are being taken.
7 Nissan 5782 – April 8, 2022 Brand: Dole Product: Creamy Coleslaw Kit Company: Dole Fresh Vegetables Issue: A limited quantity of Dole’s Creamy Coleslaw Kit was mistakenly labeled with the OK P symbol. While the cabbage/salad is approved for Passover, the enclosed sealed dressing packet is NOT approved for Passover. Please be reminded that Dole products are only OK certified when bearing the OK symbol ink-jetted on the bags per approved batch. Only bags ink-jetted with the OK P symbol are certified for Passover. Action: Corrective actions are being taken.
Dole Red Grapefruit Sunrise Brand: Dole Product: Red Grapefruit Sunrise Company: Dole Packaged Foods LLC, Westlake Village CA Issue: The Orthodox Union certifies Dole Red Grapefruit Sunrise as an OU product. Due to a temporary production change, some Red Grapefruit Sunrise is not certified by the Orthodox Union and is not labeled with an OU mark. The products with the OU mark are certified and the ones without the OU mark are not. Consumers should look for the OU mark.
Granny B’s Frosted Sugar Cookies Brand: Granny B’s Product: Frosted Sugar Cookies Company: Granny B’s, Pleasant Grove UT Issue: Unauthorized OU Granny B`s Frosted Sugar Cookies contains carmine, an ingredient that the Orthodox Union treats as non-kosher. Some of those cookies were mistakenly labeled with an OU symbol. Corrective actions have been implemented.

Please be advised that the cRc has updated the recommendation for Fresh Blueberries, as follows: Agitate the blueberries in soapy water for a minute, and then agitate one more time in plain water. Sysco All Purpose H&R Flour Brand: Sysco Product: All Purpose H&R Flour Company: Sysco Corp., Houston TX Issue: Unauthorized OU P The Orthodox Union certifies Sysco All Purpose H&R Flour as an OU product but not as an OU P Kosher for Passover product. Some 50 lb. bags bear an unauthorized OU P mark. Corrective actions are being implemented.
Simply Popcorn Brand: Simply Popcorn Product: Popcorn Company: New England Pretzel, Lawrence MA Issue: Unauthorized OU P The Orthodox Union does not certify Simply Popcorn’s popcorn in bags. Some bags bear an unauthorized OU P kosher for Passover designation. This product is mostly sold in Massachusetts. Corrective actions are being implemented.
29 Adar 5782 – April 1, 2022 Brand: Snapple Product: 32 oz Snapple Fruit Punch Company: Snapple Beverage Corp Frisco, TX Issue: Mislabel Limited edition of the 32oz Snapple Fruit Punch, which is not certified, was labeled with the OK symbol in error and distributed in the NY area. The product is not certified. Action: Corrective actions are being taken.

21 Adar 5782 – March 24, 2022 Brand: Nimet, Faruk Gullu Company: Dara Food LLC Fairfield, NJ 07004 Issue: Unauthorized Use of OK Kosher Symbol Various products sold by Dara Foods under brands Nimet/Faruk Gullu bear an unauthorized OK symbol. This company is NOT certified by OK Kosher Certification. Action: Corrective actions are being taken.
Arnold Whole Grains Healthy Multigrain Bread Brand: Arnold Product: Whole Grains Healthy Multigrain Bread Company: Bimbo Bakeries, Horsham PA Issue: Missing OU-DE Symbol The Orthodox Union certified Arnold Whole Grains Healthy Multigrain Bread as an OU-DE product. Some bags are missing the OU-DE mark. The bread, however, is certified by the Orthodox Union as an OU-DE product. Corrective actions are being implemented.
