We have recently examined YELLOW & RED PEPPERS and have found that there are many small insects/worms on the outside of these peppers, which look like dirt but with a bit more investigation one can see that these are live insects. We therefore wish to advise the following: a) The peppers should not be left on the table or counter prior to checking, but should be placed on a paper or plastic which can be thrown out. b) One should wash the whole pepper under a strong stream of water whilst brushing it or rubbing it vigorously. c) The bottom and top of the pepper should be cut out. d) Cut the pepper in 2 parts and once again wash the pieces under a strong stream of water, whilst, brushing them with a brush or vigorously washing the pepper with your fingers. We recommend to do the same with all other kinds of pepper, even though, no infestation has yet been found. We will continue to monitor the situation and continue checking and will inform the community should the situation change at any time. PLEASE POST AND/OR DISTRIBUTE THIS NOTICE. Suite à des recherches plus approfondies nous pouvons confirmer que ceux sont, en effet, des insectes. Nous désirons, donc, vous informer de ce qui suit : a) Les poivrons ne devraient pas être laissés sur la table ou le comptoir avant l’inspection. Ils devraient, par contre, être déposés sur du papier ou du plastique que vous pourrez jeter, par la suite. b) Le poivron se doit d’être lavé sous un fort débit d’eau tout en le frottant rigoureusement. c) Les deux extrémités du poivron se doivent d’être coupées. d) Le poivron devra être coupé en 2 morceaux. Suite à cela, lavez le poivron, encore une fois, sous un fort débit d’eau tout en le frottant rigoureusement avec une brosse ou en le lavant avec vos doigts. Nous vous recommandons de suivre les mêmes précautions avec tous les autres types de poivrons, quoiqu’aucune infestation n’ait encore été détectée. Especially during this time of year, many companies come out with gift catalogues containing all sorts of foods from different suppliers. Many of these foods are shown to be under kosher certification, including the cRc. The products can not be guaranteed cRc certified unless the actual original factory unopened package bears the cRc logo. The mere mention of the cRc in the catalogue is not sufficient to determine the kosher status of the product. CHAG CHANUKAH SAMEACH!!

November 25, 2009 Godiva Chocolate Liqueur Brands: Godiva Products: Chocolate Liqueur Issue: Godiva has discontinued the pareve Godiva Liqueur AKA Godiva Liqueur Original. The new product, Godiva Chocolate Liqueur, bears an OU-D. The old product still in circulation remains pareve. Consumers are advised to check the label names very carefully. Godiva Caramel Liqueur, Mocha Liqueur, and White Chocolate Liqueur are certified Kosher and Dairy.

November 10, 2009 The Following Kosher Alert was sent out by the Diamond K: TUMS KOSHER LABELING The recently redesigned TUMS label inadvertently omits the "DIAMOND-K" Kosher symbol from its packaging. The Company has taken steps to have the Kosher designation placed back on its label. However, it may take several months until all existing packaging is depleted. All products which appear on our Letter of Kosher Certification remain Kosher Certified whether or not the "DIAMOND-K" symbol appears on the label.
Please be advised that Trialia Foods Australia Pty. Ltd. is distributing Eskal Pomdelicious 100% Natural Pomegranate & Cranberry Juice bearing an unauthorized OK symbol on the label. This product was last produced under the OK Kosher Certification in June 2008. Any product found with a later production date is unauthorized and not certified by OK Kosher Certification. Corrective measures being taken.

Rainbow Chip Crunch manufactured by Wilton bears a cRc – pareve – D logo. The label is a misprint and the product is indeed pareve.
Products: Fruit Punch (Fitness water beverage) 4 pack of 12 fl. Oz. UPC: 0 79893 70013 7 Company: Lucerne Foods, Inc. Pleasanton, CA Issue: This product mistakenly bears an unauthorized OU on the plastic overwrap. Future packaging will no longer bear the OU mark. Regular fruit punch flavored water beverage is OU certified when bearing the OU mark. Thank you for your prompt attention to the matter!
Safeway stores in the U.S., including the Dominick’s Stores in the Chicago area, sell a full line of products under the “Eating Right Kids” brand, including a line of flavored vitamin enhanced waters. The shrink over-wrap of the Fruit Punch flavor mistakenly bears an OU as this particular flavor is not kosher due to the grape juice content. All other flavors of the flavored vitamin enhanced waters under the “Eating Right Kids” brand are kosher when bearing an OU on the label.

Please be advised that within the next few weeks (by October 1st, 2009), Post Cereal has elected to discontinue with the Pas Yisroel status of all their cereals. All Pareve Post cereals that will be found on the shelves of stores and supermarkets until then (except Great Grains, Shredded Wheat and product of Canada, which are not Pas Yisroel) will have been produced under the Pas Yisroel program. OK KOSHER CERTIFICATION cannot accept responsibility of the Pas Yisroel status for any products purchased after this date.
