6062 – The Most Important Day?-

Question

Q. Rabbi. I just overheard on a Shiur that a most important date of the month of Elul is the 25th day, and that it could be the most important day of our history. Is that be really true?

Answer

A. There is indeed truth to the above, not only because the 25th day of Elul is the exact date when the rebuilding of the wall of Yerushalayim was ended by Nehemiah and the some Jewish exiles after 52 days of work, as recorded in Nehemiah (6: 15). More so In Jewish tradition it is also celebrated as the first day of the Creation of the Universe.
