6069 – Time for a Meal?

Q. Kevod Harav Shlit’a. On Motzei Shabbat, first night of Selichot which is recited after midnight, should one eat the Melave Malka meal before Selichot?
Answer
A. Hilel responsa (287) rules that one should do the Melave Malka meal before, preferably even after Havdala, if hungry. See similar ruling in Nitei Gavriel (8: 5).
