6033 -The Real Grace of Ornaments?

Question

Q. See questions above. Did our sages really ordain that as a Zecher Lechurban, a woman in our days should not wear all of her jewelry at once?

Answer

A. Our Torah recognizes the jewelry’s importance to most women, teaching us that “Jewelry is more precious to a woman than all pleasurable things.” (See Midrash Rabbah Koheles 7:7). However when it is a large amount, one should not normally wear all of it at once.
