Don’t let your beliefs die with you. Make your last wishes known. While you still can.In response to a call by the Vaad HaRabbonim and all the major local organizations involved with patient care in Hospitals, (Echo, Hatzoloh, Tomchei Shabbos and Bikur Cholim), Toras Emes is hosting an informational evening with lawyers, advisors and Rabbonim this Sunday from 7 PM until 10 PM. It will be an informal gathering with the express purpose of providing participants the information they need in order to make an informed decision about what best serves their needs. Lawyers will be present to notarize any Power of Attorneys for Personal Care as required on a regular pro bono (no charge) basis. This is an event open to the entire community during those hours. Unless it’s legally recorded, what happens to you or a loved one when an incapacitating emergency strikes may not go according to your beliefs or desires. So on January 21st, Toronto’s leading lawyers, doctors and rabbis are coming together to offer members of the community — at no charge — a Power of Attorney for Personal Care. You’ll be able to sign and have notarized this legally-binding document on the spot, while you still can. And you’ll give your family priceless peace of mind that, if the time ever comes, they’ll be able to honour your most cherished beliefs.
