The unique aspect of this parenting workshop is that it is an educational and experiential workshop where parents learn about ’who to be’ in order to successfully meet their children’s emotional needs, thereby helping them to grow healthfully into adults who thrive in the future. It is based on the book by Harville Hendrix titled Giving the Love that Heals and on the latest insights from research in the fields of neuroscience and child development.

Topics include vs. unconscious parenting, children’s developmental stages and their emotional needs in each stage, communication skills that promotes connection, reflection on our own unconscious parenting biases, and more.

In addition to being trained in Imago Relationship Therapy and Interpersonal Neurobiology ’Parenting from the Inside Out’, Aliza Terris is also a close student of Rebbetzin Spetner (chinuch expert) for many years and incorporates her principles into the Imago Workshop.

When: Tuesday for 8 weeks beginning October 13, 2015
Time: 10am to 12pm
Where: Bathurst/Lawrence area
Cost: $350 for the whole course, including workbook and light refreshments. An invoice for your insurance covering the full amount can be issued upon request as can a tax deductible receipt for part of the cost.
