Town Hall Meeting - Boys High School for Differentiated Learning, 26 November 2014 8pm |
Community School Information |
Dear Concerned Parent, One of the most important trends to emerge in education is Differentiated Instruction for students requiring close supervision. Regrettably, there are no certified Yeshiva High Schools in the Toronto Area that offer such close-supervision, differentiated instruction within a student-centric chinuch program. For this reason, some students enrolled in Yeshiva High Schools will struggle and possibly fail to achieve their High School Diploma. Some students are simply not accepted into the existing Yeshiva High School system and have no alternative but to attend mixed, secular public school programs. In recognition of the growing need for a Differentiated Instruction Yeshiva High School for the Toronto Jewish Community, the newly-formed Yeshivas Nachlei Mayim will be holding its first Town Hall meeting for parents of students entering G9 or G10 on Wednesday November 26th at 8:00pm, Petach Tikvah Congregation, 20 Danby Avenue Toronto. Yeshivas Nachlei Mayim will offer a certified program towards High School diploma achievement, while building the foundations of chinuch in Mishne, Gemara and Halacha. Attendees of this meeting will learn how Yeshivas Nachlei Mayim’s approach will support students who require one-on-one instruction and individualized learning methodologies. Haskamos from revered Rabbonim in the City of Toronto for this launch of this endeavour include: - Rabbi Yacov Felder - Rabbi Daniel Korobkin - Rabbi Zalman Aaron Grossbaum - Rabbi Yoseph Oziel A professional advisory panel has also been formed that includes: - Dr. Mark Rothman, Psychologist - Dr. Lindy Zaretsky, Special Needs Educational Consultant - Adam Myerowitz, General Studies Principal, Yeshiva Gedolah If you think that your son’s chinuch might benefit from Differentiated Instruction in a more more individualized and specialized environment, then you will not want to miss this informative meeting. Please let us know of your attendance in advance by emailing your information to contact below: . This is a vital matter to a growing number of parents. Please make your interest known and share this information with other families you think might have the same concerns. Dr. Mitchell S. Parker Dean Jonathan Sherrington Parent Committee Chair |
