Question
In a case of a divorced couple, can the ex-wife who is still a client at the fertility clinic where they attended IVF treatment, continue the treatment without her ex-husband knowledge or consent?
Answer
Horav Shlomo Miller’s Shlit"a opinion is that it would constitute an act of gezel (stealing) and it is totally prohibited. (Horav Itzchok Berkovits Shlit’a expressed a similar opinion)
