6076 – The Woman’s Real True Shul?
Q. See question above. Can women recite Selichos at home?
A. Indeed they may and many do so. Yet the following rules and Halachot apply, when reciting Selichos without a minyan, by themselves, and also for men without a minyan.
1) When reciting E-l Melech, some poskim hold that the words “Zechor lanu hayom “bris helosh esrei” are omitted.
2) The 13 midos are omitted[.
3) Machei u’masei (recited towards the end of the Selichos) and any other segment which is in Aramaic is omitted . (Mateh Efrayim 581:21; Mishnah Berurah 581:4.)
