See question above. If indeed the tradition of that community is to minimize the usual Simcha and joy of Shabbat on this occasion, should the Rabbi when he speaks, refrain from his usual funny joke that he starts with his speech on a regular Shabbat, to capture the attention of the attending people?
Answer
Most Poskim agree that the joy of learning Torah, should not be avoided during Shabbos Chazon.
