#5518 Car Care?
Question
Dear Rabbi. Due to the nature of our close to constructions neighborhood, my car usually becomes very dirty. Is it correct to wash and remove that dirt during the Nine Days?
Answer
On a similar question (337) we wrote:
“Q. Can you take your car to a carwash (during the Nine Days) if it is very dirty?
Horav Shlomo Miller’s Shlit”a opinion is that there is no prohibition in washing a car during the Nine Days. (See similar opinion in Nitey Gavriel - Ben Hametzorim I p. 174).
