See question above. If permitted, can we add more than one youngster, in the above cases?

Answer

Shaalot Uteshuvot Min Hashomaim (12) maintains that it is permitted.

Igrois Moishe (O.H. 2: 18) is quoted saying that only one youngster is allowed to be part of the minyan.
