#5363 An Inyan for a Minyan?
Question
I have seen that in some shuls a minyan gathers to recite the bracha on the trees. Do you really require a minyan?
Answer
No minyan is required. However, Horav Shlomo Miller Shlit”a mentioned that since we usually maintain that “Berov Am Haddras Meleh” or we honor the King, when many are present, it would be preferred to have many others also join.
Besides, it is not uncommon for individuals to forget reciting this once a year blessing, that has great importance and relevance, and a minyan helps.
