Question
Can one remove nail coloring on Shabbos before washing hands for eating Challah, when it is already falling apart and is unattractive, and thus is a “chatzitza’ or a barrier for washing hands or mikva imersion?
Answer
Horav Shlomo Miller’s Shlit’a opinion is that it is permitted to use nail polish remover on Shabbos when truly needed.
