Horav Shlomo Miller’s Shlit"a opinion is that one should avoid when possible, recording into any electronic audio media such as digital disk or MP3, the explicit name of Hashem as recited in brochos or tefilos, since once recorded it would be preferable not to have it erased, and that is not always feasible. The reason being is, that although the digital recording is not considered writing, but it is still inherently disrespectful to treat the name of Hashem lightly and erase it carelessly.
