Is it better to prepare for Shabbos use as was now greatly needed, wood shavings or straw, instead of spreading salt?
Answer
Poskim write that it is better if it will eventually be removed and not become part of the ground surface. Horav Shlomo Miller’’s Shlit’a opinion is similar.
