# 4067 Don’t Get Carried Away
Question
May one carry a Siddur during Shabbos in a place with an Eruv, if he usually tries to avoid relying on it, in order to be Mekadesh the Levana (moon) during Shabbos?
Answer
Horav Shlomo Miller’s Shlit’a opinion is that it depends why he usually does not carry. If it is just a “Chumra” or stringency since the Eruv is good and properly acceptable, he may be lenient in need for complying with the most important mitzva of Kidush Levana.
