Question
I have young children that would very much like to eat in the Suka the first night, but I we wait for Tzeis Hakochovim (stars being seen) they may fall asleep. Can we do Kiddush after the Shekiah (sunset)?
Answer
Horav Shlomo Miller’s opinion is that you may say Kiddush early, but the brocho on the Sukka should be recited when it is night.
