Question
What kind of Schach cover for a Suka is best. Hollow single bamboo poles, Badatz Schach mats, or pine branches?
Answer
Horav Shlomo Miller’s Shlit’a opinion is that pine branches are best, since they are placed following the way they grow on the trees, while the bamboo based Schach are placed perpendicular to the way they grow.
When questioned the Rov mentioned that he uses separate bamboo poles.
