# 3817 Draw the Line on the Nine
Question
This year (82) Rosh Chodesh Av falls on Friday, can youngsters still go swimming in the lake before Shabbat?
Answer
If those children are of the age that they understand the meaning and prohibitions of the Nine Days, they should not do them even in this particular year.
