#378 Using Back Yard Wood for a Yom Tov BBQ

It may be K’day to clarify if in our society wood left in the yard is Muchan for Yom Tov fire use.
Answer
Horav Shlomo Miller’s Shlit"a opinion is that yard wood that was collected for burning in a fireplace or a BBQ fire pit can be used for those purposes in Yom Tov, even if it was only designated for that use by thought and was not physically changed.
