Question
Somebody traveled by plane on Motzei Shabbat on this last Tisha Beav that fell on Sunday. When should he have said the bracha of Hagomel?
Answer
Piskei Teshuvos (551: 54) quotes Sdei Chemed and Yofe Lalev that it is better to wait until after Tisha Beav if it is still within three days of the arrival. However, Nitei Gavriel (Bein Hametzarim 2: 60: 15) seems to follow the opinion of the Kaf Hachaim (559: 38) that it should be recited at Mincha on Tisha Beav
Horav Shlomo Miller’s Shlit’a opinion is that it could be recited by Mincha.
