# 2760 The Sanctity of Odor
Question
Q, If I put either one (of the mint oil and eucalyptus oil - see questions above 2758-59) into my nose, both to enjoy the smell and the cooling feeling they provide, but also because it clears the sinuses, may I do this on Shabbos?
Answer
These oils are basically sold for their curative effects, as the labels on the containers reflect. It stands to reason that they should be treated as any other medical product and be subject to the same applicable restrictions of use during Shabbos.
