# 2696 Remains to be Seen
Question
Someone gave me money for Yom Tov expenses. (He gave me more than necessary, especially since I ate out by some of the meals.) May I spend whatever is left over on other things (including future Shabbos expenses, seforim, or other things?
Answer
See question 2674 regarding sharing food given by parents with others, when parents object. In this case Horav Shlomo Miller’s Shlit’a opinion is that it is also permitted to use the left over funds for other needed and necessary expenses.
