There is a type of music called EDM which is music made by a computer with no words. This type of music generally has a very fast and exciting beat. In the goyish world, this type of music is generally used in very hefker settings, to say the least. What is the halacha (lechatchila) of a yid listening to goyish electronic music with no words? Does the halacha change if it is being used to help one exercise?
Answer
Horav Shlomo Miller’s Shlit’a opinion is that one should stay away from this type of music, since it represents, implies and reflects very negative issues and images.
