# 2237 On Safe Hands?

Question

A person who is extremely terrified when having a blood test and he will literally pass out, is he allowed to hold (or squeeze) the nurse’s hand for emotional support to avoid fainting?

Answer

Horav Shlomo Miller’s Shlit’a opinion is that if a male nurse is not available. he should use a glove (thick) and in need even a towel.
