Question
I heard in the name of Horav Miller that the name of the masechta we are currently learning in Daf Hayomi is not to be called "Eiruchin", as most do, but rather "Arachin." Is that correct.
Answer
Horav Shlomo Miller’s Shlit’a opinion is that indeed the correct
pronunciation of this masechta is Arachin (As it appears in the Art
Scroll edition). "Erech," is similar to the word
"chelek" (part) and its plural is "chalakim."
