# 2190 The Matzav of the Matzeva
Question
I find it very hard to get together a minyan for a Hakomas Hamatzeva. Do you need a Minyan present or can you say kaddish in shul, before or after?
Answer
Horav Shlomo Miller’s Shlit’a opinion is that it is preferable to have a minyan present, so kaddish can be recited leiluy nishmas and in merit of the deceased. However, if no minyan is available, the customary ceremony can be done without it.
