# 2060 The Doubt of the Benefit
Can I rent a property to a non-Jewish restaurant that constantly serves cooked milk and meat dishes, since I would be benefiting from isurei hanaah or items prohibited in benefit when they pay their rent? A similar question could be asked for Pesach, but after all it is only eight days and the rent could be received for the rest of that month.
Horav Shlomo Miller’s Shlit’a opinion is that it is permitted since the rent is due regardless of the income created by the business, so there is no direct benefit to the landlord. However, if the rent includes a percentage based on the income of the business, it would not be permitted.
