Question
When a Talmid Chacham or an elder is unaware of the honour given to him, (he is facing another direction) is it better to make him aware?
Answer
Horav Shlomo Millers Shlita opinion is that in general there is no need to make the recipient of the honour aware that you are standing for him or honouring him, unless he needs to benefit emotionally from that knowledge; e.g. to rise his depressed spirit.
