Itinerary:
Day 1 (Sunday) - Daven early & eat breakfast at Westmount Shul, and then hit the road. We will arrive at Algonquin Park (Lake Opeongo – Access Point 11) after a 2.5 - 3 hour drive. Park our cars, check-in to the park, get our canoes, and get to our camp site by shuttle boat. Set up camp, and relax the rest of the day! Sunday night we will be camping on Lake Opeongo – North Arm. Nighttime Kumzits, Torah, and chill.
Day 2 (Monday) – Wake up, daven, eat breakfast. Explore the bog by canoe, which is a wildlife habitat for moose, and lots of special birds of the region. Head back to camp, pack our gear, and head to Proulx Lake. Set up camp at Proulx Lake, and relax the rest of the day.
Day 3 (Tuesday) - Wake up, daven, eat breakfast. Leave camp, and canoe up to Big Crow Lake. This will be a ~2 hour canoe ride to the rare white pines in the park, explore the forest, and have lunch. Head back to camp, pack our gear, and head back to Lake Opeongo – North Arm. Set up camp at Lake Opeongo – North Arm, and relax the rest of the day.
Day 4 (Wednesday) - Return closer down the lake, relax from the intense activity of yesterday’s adventure! Travel back to the starting point by shuttle boat, pack our cars and leave the park by approximately 4pm.
