When there’s a time of crisis among the Jewish people, one of our most important avenues for action is through Torah study and prayer. Join us for an evening of study and prayer in the merit of the Jewish people under attack in the land of Israel and all over the world.
Women have a special role in times of trouble... - our sages tell us that in the merit of the righteous Jewish women our ancestors were rescued from slavery in Egypt, and in future times, the righteous women will also bring about the ultimate redemption (Sotah 11b).
Let’s develop our spiritual potential for helping to its maximum while awakening ourselves to the crisis and what we can do to help.
Schedule of the evening:
7:30 - The Village Shul’s own Rebbetizin Hoch will be leading us in Tehillim, followed by a class on Jewish unity
8:00 - Bailey Newman will share some key moments from Jewish history and how Jewish women have risen to the challenge to keep our people strong and committed
9:00 - Shauna Walker will share some thoughts on how to utilize the book of Tehillim in times of crisis for the Jewish people, taking some key examples of Tehillim throughout the book
I hope to see you all there on Sunday night.
